Un-grounded Choreographies
Video-performance,
2015

A series of unplanned walking restraints based on wooden floor patterns, common in private houses from the Colonial Period in Brazil. A new slipper is made by the assemblage between the module and the rubber slipper strip. The performer walks through the floor by taking out a wooden module to fit its foot in the pattern. Although it feels free to walk, the wandering is defined by the standard layout built on the ground.  By the end, with the trail of the walker left inverted, a musical drawing is left by the previously invisible black grease.
